Vorden is located in the middle of the foresty area that the Achterhoek has to offer. Besides the famous Pieterpad (the longest hiking route in the Netherlands) there are several other cycling and hiking routes varying from 5 kilometer routes to as long as you want it to be.
Klootschieten (local ball sport) is ideal to play with a group and young and old can join in. We can make all the necessary arrangements for this game including a picknick or a drink in the middle of the nature.
Clay pigeon shooting is also an activity that we can arrange with a drink and a snack.
If you would enjoy riding an authentic carriage through the Achterhoek, we can arrange that as well. We have several beautiful carriages available and made a few routes to pass the 8 castles of Vorden.

Public Transport
From trainstation Zutphen: Take the train towards Winterswijk. Get off on station Vorden. Walk into the Stationsstraat and after 300 meters take a right on the roundabout. After about 150 meters you will see Bakker on your left hand side.
By Car
From Amersfoort/Apeldoorn (A1) and Enschede (A1)
Take junction 23 Deventer. At the end of the junction take a left towards Zutphen (N348). After the bridge over the Twentekanaal left towards Doetinchem (N348). Then take a left towards Lochem (N346). After about 2 kilometers take a right towards Vorden (N319). You will come in via the Zutphenseweg, this will go over into the Dorpsstraat. You will see Bakker in Vorden on your right hand side.
From Arnhem (A348/N348)
Via the A348 and N348 towards Zutphen. After the IJsselbrug straight ahead towards Lochem (N314). At the third roundabout take a right towards Vorden. You will come in via the Zutphenseweg, this will go over into the Dorpsstraat. You will see Bakker in Vorden on your right hand side.
From Doetinchem (N316)
Via the N316 towards Vorden. Take the junction Vorden (De Horsterkamp). Take a left at the roundabout (Dorpsstraat). After 150 meters you will see Bakker in Vorden on your left hand side.
