There is a spa and wellness department at the Hotel Kalma that offers numerous treatments e.g. balneo, hydro, physio, light and mechanical therapy to prevent arthritis and arthrosis as well as problems of the backbone or joints and treat various injuries and neural paralysis. The renowned thermae lake can be reached in 5 walking minutes. Heviz is one the most well-known spa towns in Hungary. The city is popular due to its unique mineral spring. The lake is the biggest thermal lake in Europe and has a size of 4.5 hectares. The temperature of the lake is 34-36 degrees in the summer and 24-26 degree in the winter - guests can take a dip throughout the year. The water of the lake is called Karst water. It had a high sulphur content which is ideal to treat rheumatic and illnesses and other illnesses. The ground level of the see is full of turf mud which releases healing substances.

By car:
From Budapest airport follow the signs to Balaton M1-M7. Stay on M7. The highway will change to a country road nr. 7 after Siofok. After Balatonkeresztur ( km sign 167 ) turn right onto road 76 in direction Zalaegerszeg, then take road 71 to Keszthely. Drive through Keszthely following the signs for Heviz. Shortly before Heviz the resort is on the
right hand site.
From Vienna take the road to Eisenstadt / Sopron. follow route nr. 84 until you reach road 71 to Keszthely. Then follow the signs to Heviz.
