Set in its beautiful surroundings, this well-known castle became an inspiration for Walt Disney, but actually took its inspiration from the famous composer Wagner, incorporating his grand style into its structure and many magnificent rooms.

From Munich Airport take the motorway to Munich, and from Munich take the A95 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Entering Garmisch, take the Partenkirchen exit. Continue along the main road until you reach the Rathaus Intersection. Turn right into Bahnhofstr. and drive ahead until you end up in front of the railway station. (Just before you get to the station the road starts going downhill to the right. Do not go down but turn left at the lights so you end up right in front of the train station).
Once you are in front of the railway station, you turn right (don't worry, it is not a one way street!) between the station and the post office. (you are now on Bahnhofstrasse again). 200 metres further, you find the on the right-hand side (Bahnhofstr. 44).
