The district of Tiergarten is Germany's political centre. A few steps away from Brandenburg Gate you will find the Bundestag parliament in the Reichstag building. The glass dome, designed by Sir Norman Foster, fills the building with daylight and attracts thousands of visitors each day.
Nearby, the new government buildings form the "Band des Bundes" ("Federal Bond") between East and West. Finally, you will find here the new Bundeskanzleramt (chancellor's office).
In the south of the Tiergarten park, numerous embassies have been built or renovated. The embassy buildings of Mexico, India and Scandinavia are worth seeing. The Head of State, the Bundespräsident (federal president) resides in the nearby pretty Bellevue Palace.

If you are by train, you get directly from the central railway station "Hauptbahnhof" by JetExpressBus TXL ( 5 station) to the railway & bus station "Beusselstrasse" .Then you have to walk 50 meters by foot to reach the hotel.
