The Vasilikos Houses is a complex of traditional lodgings, each with its own individual characteristics, dispersed in various spots on a small hill of Tochni, some foot steps away from the center. Each one is a meticulously restored traditional house, furnished with comfort in mind, and decorated with charming Cypriot antiques and artifacts. Cyprus Villages was established in 1987 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. With loving care, several abandoned and ruined family houses were thoroughly renovated to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character.
The lodgings are dispersed in 4 different villages in the same location halfway between Larnaca and Limassol towns along the south coast and only a 10-minute drive to the beach. Each one of these villages has its distinct attractions and atmosphere, yet they all offer a heartfelt welcome to a lifestyle closely linked to nature and tradition. Vasilikos house is in Tochni village and the other villages nearby are Kalavasos, Pentakomo and Psematismenos.

Tochni Village
Tochni, a small and picturesque village, lies between Larnaca and Limassol. Set on the slopes of two hills, its stone-built houses line the narrow streets that wind their way to the beautiful church of Constantinos and Eleni.
Kalavasos Village Kalavasos is one of Tochni’s neighbouring villages, only 3 km away. The attractive village square is a place where residents and visitors mix and meet, for a friendly chat. During the day, a swimming pool awaits our guests, and in the evenings, the stone-paved roads and mild temperatures will tempt you to stroll under the stars. A Just outside Kalavasos, a family-run horse farm is worth a visit, and offers you the opportunity to explore the nature trails in the region on horseback.
Travel information
From Larnaka Airport:
- As you leave the airport, follow the signs to Limassol or Lemesos. - Halfway towards Lemesos, the highway B1 will turn into highway A1.
- Drive on the highway A1.
- Leave at exit 14, signposted “Chirokitia-Tochni-Psematismenos-Maroni-1000m”.
- As you leave the highway, turn right at the junction.
- Follow the road under the bridge until the next junction at which you turn right again.
- After passing the petrol station, there is an archaeological site and there you must turn right in the direction of Choirokitia-Layia.
- Then turn immediately left where there is a small church and a sign to Tochni Village.
- Keep driving straight on until you see the sign for Tochni Tavern.
- Turn right here and then take the 1st left and continue straight ahead to the car park of Tochni Tavern.
- At the end of the car parking area near the fence there is a staircase leading to the tavern/pool area where you will see the Cyprus Villages reception sign (after 23:00 press the bell on the reception sign).
- Walking down the stairs you will find our Tochni Tavern and Cyprus Villages reception.
- Here you will be met by our representative who will welcome and escort you to your village/apartment. The keys to the apartments are always left in the apartment door.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
