Ruoka & juoma
All meals at Villa Mangiacane are prepared by the villa’s private Executive Chef, Massimo Bocus. Lunches are served al fresco, generally featuring salads and light Tuscan specialities, which can be enjoyed overlooking the Chianti Countryside or lazing around the pool in the summer.
Meals range from three to seven courses and are best described as Italian cuisine with particular emphasis on Tuscan produce, with an international twist.
Meals are served in the formal dining room, the Oenoteca cellar and during winter, simply around the fire in the villa’s Olive Oil Kitchen.
In-room and private garden dining can also be arranged upon request.

Hot air balloon rides:
Soar amongst the clouds with a breeze upon your face during a hot air balloon safari over Tuscany. Your trip will begin with a briefing on the flight route by your pilot, before you climb aboard a four-seat hot air balloon for a breathtaking ride over Tuscany.
You will experience the golden sunrise over the Tuscan landscape. On landing, you will enjoy a continental, champagne breakfast before heading back to the Villa.

In the last century, this has become a World-famous tourist resort and part of its original environment has successfully been transformed into delightful gardens and meadows with secluded villas surrounded by greenery, thus maintaining respect for nature.
In the countryside surrounding Forte dei Marmi there is an architectural, historical and cultural heritage to be discovered, charming villages are nestled in the numerous valleys and atop of the hills, the beauty of alpine pastures can be enjoyed. - Take the A11 Highway (following green signs).
- Exit onto the A1.
- Continue then go South towards Rome.
- Take the 2nd exit towards Firenze Certosa.
- Drive on the SS 2 towards Tavarnuzze (following blue signs). Do not take the superstrada Firenze-Siena.
- Pass through the town of Tavarnuzze until you find, on your right, a crossroad with a little bridge (just after a restaurant called ‘Scopeti‘) and the sign for S. Andrea in Percussina.
- Go up that little road (Via Scopeti) for about 3 km and drive through the small village - S. Andrea in Percussina (on your right you‘ll see the restaurant 'Tavernetta Machiavelli') until you find a stop sign.
- Turn right and you‘ll see Villa Mangiacane ( large terracotta villa) on your right.
- Enter the first driveway on your right - there is a sign 'Fattoria Mangiacane' and statues of Nepolitano mastinos on the gate posts.
From Florence City Centre:
- Drive towards the Certosa passing through the town of Galluzzo.
- When you find the Certosa on your right, continue driving on the main road till you arrive to the entrance of the highway (a big roundabout); do not enter the highway or the superstrada, just go towards Tavarnuzze, following the blue signs.
- Pass through the town of Tavarnuzze until you find, on your right, a crossroad with a little bridge (just after a restaurant called ‘Scopeti‘) and the sign for S. Andrea in Percussina.
- Then, as above.
From Siena:
- Take the Superstrada to Firenze.
- Exit at San Casciano.
- Follow directions to San Casciano.
- Drive through the town of San Casciano.
- Turn left down towards a slip road after the Fiat dealership to S, Andrea in Percussina /Romala, Spedaletto.
- Pass through the small village of Spedaletto.
- Turn left at the crossroad.
- Villa Mangiacane is on your immediate right.
Or:
From Siena:
- Take the Superstrada Siena-Firenze.
- Continue until the Superstrada ends and you are at Firenze-Certosa.
- Drive on the SS 2 towards Tavarnuzze - blue signs - (do not take the superstrada Firenze-Siena).
- Pass through the town of Tavarnuzze until you find, on your right, a crossroad with a little bridge (just after a restaurant called ‘Scopeti‘) and the sign for S. Andrea in Percussina.
- Then, as above.
From Pisa:
- Take the A1 highway towards Roma.
- Exit at Firenze-Certosa.
- Drive on the SS 2 towards Tavarnuzze - blue signs - (do not take the superstrada Firenze-Siena).
- Then, as above.
From Milan:
- Exit the city in the direction of the south, following the direction of the A1 highway (following green signs).
- On the A1, follow the road towards Bologna.
- Once you reach Bologna, go south on the highway, following the signs in the direction of Roma (A1).
- Exit at Firenze Certosa.
- Then, as above.
From Venice:
- Exit the city following the green signs of the A13 Highway towards Padova.
- Once you are in Padova, drive in the direction of Bologna on the A13.
- On the A1 you follow towards Bologna.
- Then, as above.
