This Hotel und Weingut Karlsmühle and wine merchant boasts a romantic location surrounded by vineyards, trees and meadows. The origins of the building stretch back as far as the 4th century.
Relax in our Hotel und Weingut Karlsmühle which, thanks to its central location, provides an ideal base for a large variety of day trips to Luxembourg, the Moselle valley, the Eifel mountains and the Hunsrück mountains.
Our restaurant offers fine country cuisine. We serve game dishes using animals which we have hunted ourselves, and baked trout from our own pond. We are listed among the top 100 wine merchants in Germany.

“Taverne” Restaurant: featuring a panoramic view of the mill wheel, for gatherings of up to 42 people
“Karlsmühle” Hall: this hall is suitable for large events of up to 90 people or, in combination with the “Taverne”, for up to 130 people

Our Hotel und Weingut Karlsmühle is situated away from the street and housing, and our rooms are therefore quiet and peaceful. Some of our rooms offer a view of the mill wheel, and here you can enjoy the tranquil sound of the water. The remaining rooms are situated close to the park, offering a view through the attractive Ruwertal valley.
Ruoka & juoma
In the mornings we will spoil you with a rich breakfast buffet which will satisfy even the largest of appetites. In our simple restaurant we offer game specialities, trout which we have bred ourselves, high quality Riesling wines from our own vineyards, and many other delicious titbits. During the summer our large garden terrace by the mill stream is a popular place in which to unwind.

If you are seeking a little more water, you can easily walk to the Ruwertal outdoor pool just 200 metres away - ideal for both adults and children.
At the motorway interchange "Moseltal" take the A 602 until exit "Trier-Ehrang", where you join the B 52 (Hermeskeil). After 4 km take the exit "Mertesdorf" and continue through the town to the valley, until you reach the crossroads at the end of the town. Drive towards Hermeskeil. After 500 m turn left at the sign for "Reisenmühle".
2. Motorway from Luxemburg:
Take the A64 over the Moselle bridge towards Hermeskeil. After 4 km take the exit "Mertesdorf" and continue through the town to the valley, until you reach the crossroads at the end of the town. Drive towards Hermeskeil. After 500 m turn left at the sign for "Reisenmühle".
3. Bus connections from the main railway station to Grünhaus/Mertesdorf:
From bus stop number 1, take either bus number 6280 or number 3080 until you reach the stop "Grünhaus". From here, the is only 500 metres away. If you would like to be picked up from "Grünhaus" bus stop, please call the using the number 5123.
